HONOLULU Hawaii hotels enjoyed an occupancy rate of 78.1 % in June 2000, compared with 69.1% in June 1999, according to PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Occupancy has been up since the beginning of the year, indicating resurgence in Hawaiis tourism market, which has faltered since 1990. This strong performance mirrors the similar statistics recently released by Hawaiis Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. (9/19/00)
