BRUSSELS- SAS International Hotels (SIH) purchased the brand and rights to the expansion of Malmaison from its current owner, Wyndham International.

The deal was struck through the formation of a joint venture company between SIH and the UK-based Marylebone Warwick Balfour Group Plc.

Beginning November 3, SIH will manage the entire Malmaison portfolio, under a 20-year operating and management agreement, to be headed up by Karl Foerster, newly appointed president/COO of Malmaison.

Launched in 1994, Malmaison is regarded as one of the UKs leading boutique hotel groups and currently consists of five properties. (10/24/00)
