Neighborhood Development Corporation Rebrands to Rebel Hospitality LLC

CHICAGO—Neighborhood Development Corporation (NDC) has rebranded and renamed to Rebel Hospitality LLC. Rebel owns and manages several independent, lifestyle hotels, including dana hotel and spa, ACME Hotel Company and Hawthorne Terrace—all located here—and the Memphis, TN-based Madison Hotel.

Founded by Principals Gene Kornota and Anthony Klok, Rebel Hospitality began as NDC in 1988, with a vision of introducing a small neighborhood inn in the heart of Chicago’s thriving Lincoln Park neighborhood.

According to the principals, Rebel Hospitality is a company that conceptualizes and develops modern lifestyle hotel experiences, with a focus on distinguishing each hotel brand and outlet.

“Our objective was to create a brand that speaks to what we do and love, and that represents a collective personality of our different properties,” they stated. “We allow the location, building attributes and personalities of the neighborhood we’re in to inform the direction of each project, and then introduce a signature edge—via music, art, design, amenities—that sets the property apart.”

Rebel Hospitality is involved in every aspect of each property, overseeing development and design, marketing and ongoing management.
