NEW YORK—On the heels of a $30-million renovation, the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel is transitioning into its second phase of the restoration process, which will begin in early January.
The next phase will consist of aligning the existing rooms with the Wyndham brands’ color palette, as well as renovating the corridors with new lighting, fresh paint and revived flooring.
The first phase of the renovation included a revitalized lobby, refresh of the exterior, 114 guestrooms (with additional rooms slated for 2016) and renovations to the Grand Ballroom and meeting rooms. The overhaul was made to align with new Wyndham efforts and to modernize the property.
According to the company, the objective of the new look and renovation is to reposition the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel as one of the city’s largest hotels to emerge as a true leader within the corporate and social function spaces.
The hotel features 912 guestrooms, 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, a catering department, fitness center and business center. Food & beverage options include the 24-hour Tick Tock Diner, Cooper’s Tavern and Sky Lounge, located on the 39th floor.
