SEATTLE The R.C. Hedreen Co. has named Bret Matteson general manager of The Elliott, the newest of the company s three hotels in this city. The $140 million, 425-room downtown property to be listed under the aegis of The Leading Hotels of the World is scheduled to open its doors in the spring of 2001.
Matteson will be relocating from New York City, where he worked at the 900-room New York Palace Hotel. His hospitality background also includes stints with Ritz-Carlton properties in Pasadena, Marina Del Rey, San Francisco and Laguna Niguel in California, as well as in Sydney (Australia) and Hawaii. He also previously served with the Four Seasons Hotel in Newport Beach, CA. (10/4/00)
