INTERNATIONAL REPORT—In October, Marriott International Inc. made its extensive expansion efforts in Africa known. Since then, the hospitality group has made the following moves on the continent:

Marriott Strengthens Kenya Presence With Second Four Points by Sheraton
Marriott has opened Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport. The property is situated within the main complex of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. It complements the Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham, located in the city’s central business district which opened earlier this year. The 172-room Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport has modern rooms and dining options, including an all-day dining, a lobby café and a rooftop bar and grill, Tazama. Guests can also experience the brand’s signature Best Brews. Other facilities include a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a spa and 3,500 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Marriott, Landmark Africa Group Sign Renaissance Lagos Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments
Marriott and Landmark Africa Group have signed the Renaissance Lagos Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments in Nigeria. Slated to open in 2020, the hotels will be located within the Landmark Village precinct, a mixed-use, business, leisure and lifestyle development along the Atlantic Ocean waterfront in Victoria Island, the central business district of Lagos.

The 216-room, full-service Renaissance Lagos Hotel and 44-room Marriott Executive Apartment will offer a wide range of amenities, including local and international restaurants, spa facilities, a fitness center and an infinity pool.
