FRISCO, TX—Hotel ZaZa, a collection of premier luxury lifestyle hotels, is planning its second Dallas-area location for Wade Park here. Hotel ZaZa will be among the highlights of Wade Park, Thomas Land & Development’s 175-acre, $1.6-billion upscale mixed-use development, underway at the Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Rd. Thomas Land & Development will develop the new hotel, and it will be concepted, branded and managed by Hotel ZaZa and Z Resorts Management LLC.
Hotel ZaZa at Wade Park will feature approximately 175 guestrooms, including 10 one-of-a-kind suites; 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting and function space; a pool with bars and cabanas; and a chef-driven destination restaurant. A 1,000-sq.-ft. fitness center and a ZaSpa will also be included among the hotel’s amenities.
The Frisco hotel will join the brand’s Hotel ZaZa Dallas and Hotel ZaZa Houston in the area. In addition, Hotel ZaZa recently broke ground on a location in downtown Austin, TX, and continues to aggressively look for additional opportunities across the country.
“There’s simply no comparison to the one-of-a-kind experience at Hotel ZaZa, making it the perfect fit for Wade Park and our vision for a truly extraordinary mix of upscale shopping, dining, entertainment, living and working—all within walking distance. Whether enjoying a weekend getaway in a themed suite, dining with friends or lounging by the pool, Hotel ZaZa will be the place to be with its eclectic charm and luxury offerings,” said Stan Thomas, president & CEO of Thomas Land & Development. “A leader in the competitive Dallas luxury hotel set, Hotel ZaZa will also be the choice for the upscale business traveler—a quickly broadening market with many companies expanding or relocating to Frisco.”
The new Hotel ZaZa will be positioned along the main street of Wade Park’s retail village, surrounded by 600,000 sq. ft. of high-end shopping, dining and entertainment. The center will also feature six million sq. ft. of office space, as well as a variety of residential housing, including apartments, condominiums and upmarket single-family residences.
“A vast destination center in the heart of one of the nation’s fastest-growing communities, Wade Park is the ideal location for our second Hotel ZaZa in North Texas,” said Benji Homsey, president of brand development for Z Resorts. “The Frisco community is booming, and our resort-style hotel will meet the need by offering a unique experience, blending the best of business and leisure travel with the luxury and exclusivity of a boutique hotel unlike any other in the area.”
Hotel ZaZa is the first of three hospitality venues slated for Wade Park, for which plans also include a 350-room executive conference hotel along the Tollway, and an upscale, limited-service hotel.
Hotel ZaZa joins Whole Foods Market, iPic Theaters and Pinstripes, which signed leases for the center earlier this year. TLD broke ground on Wade Park in early August, with vertical construction set to begin in the second quarter of 2015. Hotel ZaZa is slated to open with the first phase of the development in fall 2016.
