NEW YORK CITY—Ten exhibitors received Editors’ Choice Awards during the opening ceremonies of the 96th annual International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show (IHMRS) and 2nd annual Boutique Design New York (BDNY) on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here. The awards recognize best new products within the categories of design, equipment & supplies, guest amenities, tabletop and technology, as well as an eco-friendly equivalent to each of these categories. From the 10 winners, the Kenneth F. Hine “Best of Show” award was also selected.
Editors from hospitality trade publications, including Hotel Business editor Dennis Nessler, reviewed nearly 150 submissions and selected winners based on innovative product design, how a product answers a particular industry need, creative use of material or construction and development or use of a new technology.

Guest Amenities: Concept Amenities for the Jean-Michel Cousteau Collection; Green Guest Amenities: Cintas Corporation for the Eco Cobra Jacket
Tabletop: Corkcicle for the Corkcicle Wine Chiller; Green Tabletop: Bugambilia International for Bamboo Leaf Plate
Technology: PowerKiss for the Powerkiss wire-free charging system; Green Technology: Verve Living Systems for the Verve Key Card Switch
The IHMRS runs through Tuesday, Nov. 15; and BDNY through Monday, Nov. 14.
