Greystone Miami Beach Opens
VOS Hospitality, owner, developer, and manager of boutique lifestyle hotels led by James Vosotas, along with its private investment company partner The B Group led by Branden Muhl, opened the Greystone Miami Beach this month. A historic 1930s boutique hotel, Greystone Miami Beach has undergone a complete revitalization to offer a blend of style that juxtaposes beachy boho-chic vibes with city glam influences while bringing back to life its Art Deco facade. The newly developed hotel is a product of combining the historic 1920 Collins Ave. corner property with the adjacent building. It is set to open this month.
Designed by architectural firm Shulman + Associates, the hotel has a total of 91 guestrooms from boutique-style, historic accommodations to suites with a private deck and hot tub. The hotel’s rooms conjure a strong sense of place befitting its prime location in Miami Beach, according to the company. Equipped with the latest innovative technology, guests will be able to unlock their rooms, check in or out of the hotel, order towels, room service or food poolside, access event listings, contact the valet or concierge, get restaurant information, and make dining reservations all through the property’s smartphone app. The 54,000-sq.-ft., adult-only hotel is eco-conscious as well as pet friendly.
Hampton Inn by Hilton Opens in Miami Beach, FL
Pebb Capital, a diversified, multi-strategy real estate and private equity investment firm, in partnership with LeaseFlorida, opened the Hampton Inn at The Continental in Miami Beach, FL. The new 100-key hotel features a wide range of amenities in one of the U.S.’ leading tourism destinations. This news follows the partnership’s acquisition of the historically designated property in 2016 and subsequent engagement in a $25-million rehabilitation to reposition its interiors to align with the Hampton by Hilton brand, while reinvigorating the architecture of the building.
Located one block from the ocean at 4000 Collins Ave., the building was designed by Abraham Herbert Mathes in the 1940s as the Continental Hotel. The revival of the five-story building included significant restorations to its marble-clad reception desk and repainting its facade to its former presentation of traditional Miami Modernist (MiMo) style, which captivated Miami Beach design in the post-World War II era. Mathes’ design of clean vertical lines with large windows for natural light and openness was also preserved. Prior to converting the property back to its original hotel status, it served as a condominium in the early 1990s, named The Continental on Collins Ave Condo.

The hotel is accessible to the PGA Golf Club at PGA Village, First Data Field—home of the St. Lucie Mets—and numerous dining and shopping options.
