PHOENIX—Best Western, based here, has introduced the four-star Best Western Plus Kalbarri Edge Resort in Western Australia.
The resort, built in 2009, is the 20th property in Australia to pass Best Western’s Quality Assurance program to carry the brand’s midscale Best Western Plus hotel type, according to the company. Best Western International introduced the three hotel types in 2011 to distinguish between its midscale and upscale properties.
Best Western Plus Kalbarri Edge Resort features 72 rooms that range from fully self-contained, two-bedroom serviced apartments to spa suites and deluxe studios, with king beds and upgraded bathroom amenities. Additional amenities include free WiFi, flat-screen TVs, free Foxtel channels and a kitchenette or kitchen with a microwave.
The property offers a solar-heated pool, gym, balconies, outdoor dining and private barbeques. The Edge Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner and features a separate room-service menu. The resort is jointly owned by WA’s hospitality industry operator and consult Chris Pye, CEO and chairman of Hospitality Inns, and Jon Jessop, Edge Resorts.
