PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA—The Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners has appointed Chef Robert Mitchell to executive chef. He will oversee dining in the hotel’s new Restaurant 4-7-5 which serves hotel guests and the North Atlanta community.

He will also redesign all banquet and special event menus, creating exciting new options for guests who are hosting meetings and special events, including weddings.

Mitchell brings 20 years of experience to the kitchens of the Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners. His accolades include two appearances at the highly acclaimed James Beard House. Under his direction, Restaurant 5FIFTY5 at the Marriott New Orleans was named one of the best new restaurants by New Orleans City Business Magazine, a and he has won numerous awards at the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience.

Mitchell has also served as the executive chef at Buckhead’s JW Marriott and, most recently, as senior food & beverage manager at the Renaissance Atlanta, where he oversaw the opening of Community Smith and Community Smith Garden.

At Restaurant 4-7-5, Mitchell will focus on working with local farmers and fisheries to create well-crafted, freshly prepared offerings drawing from his experience in Southern, Cajun and Creole cuisines. Restaurant 4-7-5 will serve breakfast lunch and dinner.
