LAS VEGAS— Hospitality Finance and Sales (HFS) forged an agreement with Americas Best Value Inn (ABVI) to provide ABVI members the opportunity to view three pre-approved model rooms complete with furnishing options.
The model rooms, seen at the HFS showroom here, offer hotel owners the opportunity to view standardized FF&E options. In addition to one-stop-shopping, HFS provides financing so owners can take advantage of a low-interest environment and amortize the cost of renovation.
“The idea was how to create consistency and how to create value [for ABVI members],” said John Wong, CFO of the company. “For anyone, its hard to visualize [a renovation]off just a color board.“
HFS is an architectural, interior design, procurement, finance and technology company designed to offer a turn-key solution for hospitality. It was formed as a partnership between Wong and 25-year architect and design firm, Concepts 4, of which Jerry Howard is president/CEO. Wong’s background is in hotel ownership and overseas procurement. HFS currently operates a procurement office in Shanghai.
The 35,000 sq. ft. HFS showroom here is home to a range of completely built-out hotel showrooms ranging from economy to luxury hotel accommodations.
HFS works with a range of other higher-end hotel brands as well. Through 18 fully equipped model rooms at its showroom, it offers a range of options for its customers.
“When you work at the higher level, you bring a skill set,“ Wong said. “We also know how to value engineer [a hotel project]and we understand the limitations and costs.“
The ABVI showroom models, which feature good, better and best standards that correspond with AAA one-, two- and three-diamond ratings, are offered as a value service to ABVI members.
It permits ABVI to offer its members in-house style design and procurement services that are consistent with the brand’s standards without the expense of creating its own in-house department and showroom, according to Wong.
