Wingate Hits West Coast

PARSIPPANY, NJ Construction has begun on the first franchised Wingate Inn hotels in San Mateo and San Francisco. The properties are the brand s first in California, stretching its presence to the West Coast. The San Francisco Wingate will offer 88 rooms, while the San Mateo property will offer 100 guestrooms; both are slated to open in the summer of 2001. (12/7/00)
