MERRILLVILLE, IN—White Lodging has promoted Dave Montrose to SVP of operations for select service.
Most recently, Montrose had served as senior regional VP of operations covering 55 hotels in the South and West since 2012.
In his new role, Montrose will be responsible for all field operations for the select-service division. The eight regional VPs of operations in the division will report directly to Montrose. Montrose and his team are tasked with driving operational excellence to significantly reducing red zones, recruiting, training and developing the company’s associates and executing its business plans, according to White Lodging.
Prior to his role as senior regional VP, Montrose held the roles of regional VP of three different regions. Montrose began with White Lodging as a general manager, where he was promoted five different times to increasingly more difficult roles. Over the course of his general manager career with White Lodging, he won the Courtyard of the Year award and the prestigious Bruce White Chairman Award. His last position before being promoted to regional VP was as an impact general manager for the Courtyard Magnificent Mile.
Prior to joining White Lodging in 1996, Montrose worked at Tharaldson, where he opened the first Courtyard for the organization in Springfield, IL. He was promoted to regional director at Tharaldson, overseeing Courtyard and Residence Inn hotels.
