CHICAGO— The airline/travel industry has been ranked as one of the lowest scoring industries (a -52 rating) in a Golin/Harris Trust Survey, which found 20 out of 25 business sectors received negative scores from respondents in terms of considering them trustworthy. Brokerage/Wall Street fims scored even lower than the travel sector, garning a -58 rating. Other sectors that were among the lowest ranked included Oil & Gas (-63), Insurance (-59), and Utilities (-52). Golin/Harris said respondents giving the negative scores felt that these industries seemed detached or distant from their customers. Other reasons for the low scores included questionable ethics and failing to keep promises, the firm said.
