Foxwoods Resort Casino Names New President/CEO
John J. James has been named the new president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino. He currently serves as COO for Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and will be taking the helm at Foxwoods beginning August 12. James succeeds Felix D. Rappaport, whose untimely death in June of 2018 led to Tribal Chairman Rodney Butler taking over as the resort’s interim CEO shortly thereafter. With more than 25 years of Native American gaming resort operations experience, James’ expertise and vision will help build on Foxwoods’ solid foundation and maximize the growth opportunities that lie ahead, according to the company.
Crescent Hires Nancy Johns as VP Digital Strategy
Crescent Hotels & Resorts has hired Nancy Johns as VP of digital strategy. Prior to joining Crescent, Johns served as corporate director of e-commerce for Pyramid Hotel Group. She has also held positions at Expedia Inc. and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and has earned awards for her work at Pyramid Hotel Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Onefinestay appoints Stephen Haskell as GM, America
Onefinestay has appointed Stephen Haskell as GM, America. He’s based in Onefinestay’s New York office, where he leads a team of 20. Previous experience dotting Haskell’s work history include various marketing leadership roles with brands such as IfOnly, One Kings Lane and Diamond Foundry.
