Executives in the hospitality industry have taken new roles. Here’s a look:
Samantha Greenberg joins Mint House as CFO
Mint House has revealed that Samantha Greenberg will join as CFO effective Jan. 18. She will be responsible for leading financial operations across the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, capital markets and investor relations.
Greenberg has been an investor in technology and consumer companies for the past 20 years. Before joining Mint House, Greenberg was a portfolio manager at Citadel, managing a technology investing portfolio. Prior to that, she founded and ran investment management firm Margate Capital Management LP, growing it into the third-largest female-run hedge fund in the U.S. At Margate, she led investor relations and capital raising, financial planning/forecasting and supervised the firm’s operating processes, in addition to managing a portfolio and team of analysts investing in technology and consumer businesses.
Performance Hospitality Management names Mark Anderson COO
South Florida-based Performance Hospitality Management has appointed Mark Anderson as COO. An industry veteran with more than 35 years of diverse hospitality and management experience, he will oversee the company’s operations and strategic development.
Over the course of his career, Anderson has served as a leader in operations, sales and revenue generation, concept development, renovation and property development. He has held various property and regional operations roles within notable hotel groups including Starwood, Marriott and Hilton, before joining Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in 2015. While with Wyndham, he was promoted to group VP, where he led a team of 12 covering the operational leadership of 315 hotels across the U.S. and delivered $1 billion in gross revenue. Most recently, he was VP, sales and operations, Integrity Services, a full-service commercial cleaning and staffing company.
Hard Rock International appoints Daniel Earle to global sales role
Hard Rock International has named Daniel Earle as its new director of global travel industry sales for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. In his new role, he will draw on more than two decades of experience across 11 different countries in the hospitality industry to drive development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives within the OTA, Wholesale and Consortia segments. He will report directly to Danielle Babilino, SVP, global sales and marketing.
In his most recent role as regional director, sales and revenue management, Performance Hospitality Management, he oversaw the commercial teams to include sales, catering and revenue management for six owned and managed hotels. He began his career in the U.K., where he enjoyed a long tenure with Hilton eventually transitioning to the U.S., where he led revenue management for the Waldorf Astoria & Towers in New York City. Eventually relocating to Florida, Daniel held positions with the Loews Miami Beach Hotel as well as The Diplomat.
Liz Dahlager named EVP at Mereté Hotel Management
Mereté Hotel Management has appointed Liz Dahlager as EVP. She will continue to oversee sales, marketing and strategic partnerships. In her new role, her responsibilities will be expanded to include hotel operations and human resources.
She joined Mereté in 2009 as the market director of sales for four hotels in Oregon in the Eugene/Springfield area. She was promoted to VP, sales in 2016 and took on additional responsibilities in hotel development in 2019 when she was promoted to VP, market intelligence.
