HONG KONG—The Peninsula Hotels, which operates luxury properties in 10 major cities, has partnered with online luxury fashion retailer Net-A-Porter.com to provide a series of mini guides for each of the brand’s hotels.

The exclusive, bite-sized guides have been published on the respective hotel’s section of The Peninsula website and are featured in the travel section of Net-A-Porter.com’s weekly online magazine, The Edit.

“Peninsula and Net-A-Porter both share similar international, sophisticated customers with an eye for quality and design,” said Robert Cheng, VP of marketing for The Peninsula Hotels, headquartered in Hong Kong. “As such, the partnership allows both parties to showcase our unique strengths, Peninsula’s global gateway footprint with hotels in the heart of each city, and Net-A-Porter’s unique voice, perspective and eye for fashion and style.”

Each mini guide provides guests with insider knowledge on shopping, style and dining suggestions in the 10 Peninsula cities, which include Manila, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok, New York City, Chicago and Beverly Hills, CA. This partnership will also include events and benefits for hotel guests and Net-A-Porter customers.

“We’ve asked Net-A-Porter’s style gurus for their favorite picks for dining, shopping and culture. They have identified some stylish gems such as hand-embroidered slippers from Shanghai, Guy Martin’s dining space in Paris, as well as their tips to navigate Art Basel in Hong Kong,” said Cheng. “Peninsula guests are international, sophisticated and savvy travelers who seek the best local experiences in each destination, and the mini guides provide them with an insider’s view of the area surrounding each Peninsula hotel.”

Published online in English, French, Simplified and Traditional Chinese and Japanese on The Peninsula website, and in English, French, German and Simplified Chinese on Net-A-Porter.com, the 10 Peninsula mini guides focus on a one-mile radius around each hotel. The content and imagery will be divided into four sections: The Peninsula, providing guests with a curated visual tour of the hotel’s features; upcoming cultural events; dining and entertainment; and shopping and fashion.

The first issue of the Peninsula and Net-A-Porter mini guide was released in March in Paris, just after Paris Fashion Week. The Peninsula Hong Kong guide was then launched in Shanghai and Manila. The Peninsula New York guide will be published on Sept. 3 to mark New York Fashion Week with the Chicago guide launching on Sept. 17. Beverly Hills (May 7), Bangkok (Oct. 1), Tokyo (Oct. 15) and Beijing (Oct. 29) will complete the 2015 publishing set.

The Peninsula Hotels had been in discussions with Net-A-Porter for more than a year to secure the partnership with the online luxury fashion retailer. “We look forward to adding exciting new elements around the world in the next 12 months,” said Cheng.
