LAS VEGAS—The Cromwell, a new stand-alone boutique hotel on the Las Vegas strip, is set to open May 2014.
The Cromwell will feature 188 rooms and suites, a 40,000 sq. ft. casino, hotel lobby bar, lounge and restaurant by TV personality, celebrity chef and first-time restaurateur Giada De Laurentiis. The property also includes a rooftop pool, day and nightlife venues by Victor Drai.
The Porte Cochere, a $185-million renovation of the former Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon, continues to take shape at The Cromwell. Among the most noticeable exterior features will be the black Parisian-style awnings and ornate black railings, repurposed from the original structure, punctuating each room window.
Architect, Leo A. Daly and Las Vegas-based design studio, Tandem Las Vegas, designed The Cromwell to blend vintage with modern. The hotel bar and lounge, Interlude, with its centralized location and close proximity to nightlife, will serve as a social-inspired gathering place featuring cutting-edge mixology. A warm palette of red, gold and browns will fashion the sexy, intimate Interlude bar and lounge.
