ATLANTA— Telic.net, a developer of hosted solutions for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) enhanced services, reported that it has successfully tested interoperability of its real time billing and softswitching platform with CoaXmedias Series 7000 system. The Series 7000 is a hardware/software platform that makes it easy to offer high-speed Internet and VoIP access to hotel guests using existing in-building coaxial cable, according to the company. The system is slated for initial release during the fourth quarter of 2003. The certification by Telic of CoaXmedias system assures service providers and businesses that there are affordable, feature-rich solutions for VoIP deployments, the company said.
