The Graham Georgetown

NATIONAL REPORT—Tapestry Collection by Hilton is expanding with the signing of The Graham Georgetown, in Washington, DC, slated to join the collection in early 2018.

The seven-story Federalist building has 57 guestrooms, including 32 one-bedroom suites. Originally opened in 1962 as the Monticello, the hotel’s brick facade with Colonial-style sash-over-sash windows fits into the traditional architecture found throughout the Georgetown neighborhood. The property takes its name from renowned inventor Alexander Graham Bell, who pioneered countless inventions at the nearby Volta Laboratory and Workshop.

Additional hotel features include a rooftop lounge and a full-service restaurant, The Alex. Helmed by executive chef José Molina, it features a seasonally dynamic menu that regularly changes to reflect the freshest produce sourced from nearby farmers and purveyors. The Alex Craft Cocktail Cellar & Speakeasy transforms into a cabaret, offering live musical performances weekly.

The hotel has a color palette of earthy grays, cool blues and crisp whites, reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour.

The Graham will remain open as usual during its transition process. Renovations will include updated furnishings to select areas of the hotel’s public spaces, new finishes to the lobby and an enhanced check-in and concierge experience.

Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, a Dolce Resort
Wyndham Hotel Group has also added to its portfolio with Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs joining its Dolce Hotels and Resorts brand.

The new addition becomes the fourth resort to join the Dolce brand since it was acquired by Wyndham Hotel Group. Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, a Dolce Resort, offers 316 guestrooms and suites with mountain views across 200 scenic acres of southern Colorado landscape. The resort is home to more than 40,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space alongside a 35-acre private lake and golf course.

The hotel is owned by Dr. Kiran Patel, Florida philanthropist and frequent partner of Wyndham Hotel Group.

The new resort also builds on the company’s escalating growth momentum in the group and meeting space: in 2017, Wyndham Hotel Group opened 415 hotels adding 150 new meeting spaces in the U.S. alone.
