NEW YORK- John Jeakins has been named vice president, Asia for Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. He is responsible for Swissotel Beijing, Swissotel Dalian and the companys global sales offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Jeakins is expected to lead Swissotels growth in the Peoples Republic of China, where he has worked for the past 10 years, as well as strengthen hotel development throughout the rest of Asia.
Jeakins continues to serve as general manager of Huaxia Swissotel Management Co. Ltd., the joint venture between Swissotel and Hong Kong Macao Center Ltd., which specializes in hotels and residence management. (9/8/00)
