HERMOSA BEACH, CA–– Industry veteran Steve Higgins has launched Canoe Hospitality, a company that will provide procurement services to owners and developers of luxury hotels and resorts. Higgins is the founder and former CEO of Higgins Purchasing Group and has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Sharon Courtney, who has 15 years of experience in the high-end hospitality procurement business, will serve as the companys COO. Canoe Hospitality will handle both furniture, fixtures and equipment purchasing as well as operating supplies and equipment purchasing and will work with a limited number of clients in an effort to deliver personalized service.
