STAMFORD, CT—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is set to debut its Four Points brand in Singapore with Keck Seng Hotel Pte Ltd, a unit of Keck Seng Group. Slated to open by year-end 2016, Four Points Singapore, Riverview marks the entry of the brand in the area.
“The signing of Four Points Singapore, Riverview underscores Starwood’s multi-brand growth strategy in the country,” said Rajit Sukumaran, SVP, acquisition and development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia-Pacific. “It is also an example of our conversion-friendly approach and our ability to convert hotels in a short amount of time as we strive to maximize value for our partners and create compelling experiences for our guests.”
Located by the Singapore River and within close proximity to the central business district, the hotel will be a strategic conversion from the former Riverview Hotel on 382 Havelock Rd. The location is also a short distance from Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, which offers a multitude of dining and entertainment options.
With a $17.8-million renovation and redesign underway, the hotel plans to offer 476 contemporary guestrooms. The hotel will also provide several food and beverage options including an all-day dining restaurant; a Japanese and a Chinese restaurant and a bar featuring alfresco seating by the river.
Amenities include a fitness center, an outdoor pool, meeting and ballroom space. In addition, there will be free WiFi throughout the hotel; a signature breakfast with fresh coffee; and complimentary bottled water.
“As the region’s key tourism and MICE destination, Singapore continues to offer both leisure and business travelers a plethora of world-class meeting facilities and entertainment options,” said Charlie Dang, regional VP, Southeast Asia, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia-Pacific. “We are confident that Four Points’ focus on reinventing travel by offering guests exactly what they need while on the road will resonate well with locals and travelers alike.”
