Starwood Opens Doors At New San Francisco St. Regis

SAN FRANCISCO— The St. Regis Hotel & Residences, San Francisco has opened its doors here. The new 40-story property contains 260 guestrooms and 102 private residences. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. is the majority owner of the hotel and is also the operator. Partnering with Starwood in the development of the asset was Carpenter & Co. and F.E. Jordan Associates of San Francisco. Located at 125 Third St., the St. Regis offers 214 standard guestrooms and 46 suites ranging in size from 700 sf to more than 3,200 sf. Some of the more noteworthy features include guest bathroom soaking tubs that have panels that can be opened into the guestroom for a view of the city. Each bathroom also offers a 13-inch LCD television. A 42-inch plasma TV adorns the guestroom itself. Furthermore, a digital assistant controls motorized shades, recessed lighting, temperature, alarm functions and the privacy indicator light outside of the room. The entire hotel also has wireless high-speed Internet access. Other hotel features include the 95-seat signature restaurant, Ame; the 74-seat breakfast restaurant; a bar; a 9,000-sf spa; a 3,700-sf fitness center; a 50-foot indoor lap pool; 15,000 sf of meeting space; and two terraces totaling 7,500 sf.
