STAMFORD, CT—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., has brought the Aloft brand to Syracuse, NY, within the new Inner Harbor waterfront development. Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor features 132 loft-like rooms and live music at W XYZ Bar. The new Aloft will be joined by Element Syracuse Inner Harbor in the spring of 2018. Both hotels are owned by affiliates of COR Development Company, LLC, and managed by Real Hospitality Group, LLC.

“We are delighted to introduce our popular Aloft brand to Syracuse as part of the city’s waterfront revitalization project,” said Brian McGuinness, SVP, Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. “Boasting a portfolio of more than 100 hotels in dynamic destinations around the globe, Aloft resonates with today’s hyper-connected global traveler with its distinctive style, innovative programing and buzzing social scene.”

The new Aloft is a component of COR Development’s $350 million redevelopment of the Inner Harbor, a project that is transforming a 30-acre waterfront property into a tourism destination. The development will also include educational facilities and mixed-use complexes with office, retail and residential components. The hotel is near downtown Syracuse; Destiny USA, a shopping and entertainment destination with more than 1.3 million sq. ft. of outlets, restaurants and retail stores; NBT Bank Stadium; Armory Square; Syracuse University; and SUNY Upstate Medical University.

“We are thrilled to bring Starwood’s popular Aloft brand to Inner Harbor and expect the new hotel will be a hit with travelers seeking a high-caliber brand in a prime location along the city’s revitalized waterfront, near dining, shopping and entertainment,” said Ben Seidel, president and CEO of Real Hospitality Group. “Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor will appeal to visitors to Syracuse, as well as to area professionals, with its emphasis on style, accessible technologies and live music performances by emerging artists at W XYZ Bar.”

The hotel features SPG Keyless—Starwood’s keyless entry system that enables guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch as a room key. Additionally, the hotel has free WiFi. The hotel offers 690 sq. ft. of meeting space, a splash pool, a Re:chargeSM fitness center and Re:fuelSM by Aloft and a one-stop gourmet grab & go food and beverage area. Live, local music at the brand’s W XYZ bar is part of the signature Live At Aloft Hotels music series.
