PHOENIX— Several Arizona hotels, including the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, the Phoenician and the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa, received top honors at Starwood Resorts & Hotels Southwest Regional Awards event held recently in Los Angeles. This years annual event recognized efforts by both the sales and operations teams at the 30 properties Starwood owns and manages in the Southwest. The Westin Kierland was honored as Hotel of the Year in 2004. Other honors included Sales Leader of the Year; Excellence in Revenue Management; Catering Sales Manager of the Year (Sally Hilow); and Catering Sales Team of the Year. The Phoenician received awards for Top Catering Sales Manager (Chelly Dill); “Team Hot” for generating the most “Hot Leads” to other Starwood properties; the Brand Excellence Award; and the Teamwork Award in recognition for achieving the AAA 5-Diamond Award. The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa received the Brand Excellence Award and Best Guest Satisfaction Scores. The Sheraton Crescent Hotel received the Community Service Award.
