PHOENIX What is the greatest challenge facing stepped-up spa development across this nation s resort markets? According to experts in this area speaking at the Lodging Conference 2000, the likelihood of taking any great strides forward depends largely on developing more recognition and appreciation of the spa product among men.
While panelist Eric Prevette of Olympus Hospitality Group pointed out that spa resort growth has increased some 1,400% over the course of the past 10 years, it was nonetheless conceded by all that differentiating between spas and standard fitness centers/health clubs is still a matter needing to be urgently addressed.
