LOS ANGELES- Patrick Brown, an industry veteran with more than 21 years of real-estate finance experience, has joined Sonnenblick-Eichner Co. here as an executive director. Brown has closed in excess of $1 billion in transactions involving structuring construction, acquisition, and permanent debt as well as joint-venture equity placements.
In his new position, Brown will be responsible for the origination of debt and equity on behalf of the companys clients and management of institutional relationships. According to David Sonnenblick, one of the principals of the real-estate investment banking firm, it is felt that Browns “extensive transaction experience will be of great benefit to all the firms hospitality clients, especially in the course of securing debt and equity capital.”
Prior to joining Sonnenblick-Eichner, Brown was a vp at Greenwich Capital Markets. Previous positions were at WMF Capital Corp. as director-Western region, CIBC Oppenheimer as executive director, and 10 years with MassMutual in its Commercial Real Estate Investment division.
It is estimated that fully 75% of Sonnenblick-Eichner Co.s current client roster encompasses lodging and hospitality-related companies and entities. (9/25/00)
