PEREIRA, COLOMBIA—Sonesta is expanding its global portfolio in Colombia with the opening of Sonesta Hotel Pereira, a new-build property under the management of GHL Hoteles.
This is the fifth Sonesta-franchised and GHL Hoteles-managed property in Colombia.
Sonesta Hotel Pereira is situated on the road to Cerritos, with access to major cities in the coffee region, the Zona Franca industrial area and nearby theme parks and attractions.
The hotel has 165 rooms, divided into Standard, Executive, Superior, Jr. Suite and Suite selections: 102 in the tower and 63 rooms in 16 villas, all of which have an avant-garde design. Amenities include 24-hour room-service, digital television, electronic safe, air conditioning, minibar and high-speed Internet access.
A variety of features, including sport and two tennis courts, full service spa, fitness center, outdoor pool and mini-golf range, as well as two restaurants, are available. Cook’s main restaurant will offer regional and international gourmet cuisine. A revolving restaurant on the top floor is planned for 2015 and will provide a dining concept—Kitchen by Rausch—in partnership with Rausch Brothers.
Nine conference facilities, including a main ballroom with capacity for up to 700 guests, offer flexible spaces for a variety of events from business to social.
