STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO—The Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas will undergo an $8.2 million room renovation to be completed in November 2013.
The project will result in 56 new luxury Mountain Suites, which will be ready by the 2013-2014 ski season. The total room count will then rise to 285 with the addition of the studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom Mountain Suites. The suites will feature granite countertops, mini or full kitchens and washers and dryers, as well as five-fixture bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II Beds.
Many of the Mountain Suites are designed as “lock-offs,” which offers guests the option to book lodging similar to a high-end, three-bedroom condo with hotel amenities. The suites also feature a Colorado mountain contemporary style with natural stone gas fireplaces. The kitchens are modern with stainless steel appliances, custom furniture and built-in outlets. Additionally, the suites offer natural wood accent tables, artwork such as log slices and photography collages and built-in storage, as well as soaking tubs and glass-enclosed showers in the bathrooms.
The resort is Steamboat Springs’ only ski-in, ski-out, full-service property. It also offers 28,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting space that carries out the “Seasons of Colorado” theme, including 17 meeting rooms, such as the 7,000-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom. The property also features the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Course, a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones II and managed by Troon.
