NEW YORK—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has reopened the Sheraton Fiji Resort following completion of a $22 million renovation. Located on Denauru Island, Sheraton Fiji Resort features 264 guestrooms, an interactive lobby space, new dining concepts and a lagoon-style pool. The six-month refurbishment project resulted in significant upgrades to guest accommodations, restaurants and bars, as well as the introduction of new recreational facilities. The centrepiece of the resort is the nearly 13,000 square-foot, lagoon-style swimming pool developed by Scape Design Associates that features a number of underwater day seats and overwater hammocks and is divided into three sections, including a dedicated family-friendly area and quiet zone. Sheraton currently offers more than 16 resorts in Asia Pacific, in locations such as Japan, China, Indonesia, Guam and Australia. There are also Sheraton resorts under development in markets including Taiwan, India and Spain.
