CAIRO—The Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino has reopened, following an extensive renovation to reveal modern interiors, refreshed public spaces and revitalized dining concepts.

“The reopening of this hotel is a milestone in our journey as it not only showcases our transformation efforts around the Sheraton brand, but also reinstates our commitment to Egypt as a strategic growth market,” said Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.

Perched on the West Bank of the River Nile and situated in the heart of the city, the property is near the Egyptian Museum, Cairo Opera House and the 70-story Cairo Tower.

Accommodations include 326 fully renovated rooms and suites with a blend of modern design with a warm color palette to introduce the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience. Sheraton Club rooms offer access to the Sheraton Club Lounge, a private space located on the 26th floor providing views of the city, where complimentary breakfast, drinks and snacks are available during the day.

Among the leisure facilities are a 24-hour fitness center, pool and wellness center.

For dining, there are six distinctive restaurants and bars, ranging from local cuisine to Italian.

Meeting and event spaces include a ballroom, 13 meeting rooms and a fully equipped business center, with access to WiFi.

Marriott International currently operates 18 hotels in Egypt across seven brands including JW Marriott, The Ritz Carlton, Le Méridien, Marriott Hotels, Renaissance, Sheraton and Westin. It also has two additional hotels under advanced development including Mena House and The St. Regis Cairo.
