PARAMUS, NJ—Owner/operator Shaner Hotel Group will convert its existing Crowne Plaza Hotel here to a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott via a multimillion-dollar renovation. The brand conversion is set for completion by February 2016.

Located on the Garden State Parkway adjacent the Paramus Park Mall, the Fairfield Inn & Suites is near Route 17 and the local business district.

The 109-room Fairfield Inn & Suites will have a number of new design features, including an updated exterior; spacious lobby and lobby lounge area with a natural color palette and stone hearth; a breakfast lounge with buffet serving area; and complimentary WiFi connectivity options, including a “connect-and-print” area with Internet stations. The property is also adjacent to a Bonefish Grill restaurant.

Plato Ghinos, president of Shaner Hotel Group, said the upgrade to a Fairfield Inn & Suites was in direct response to the demands and dynamics of today’s business and leisure traveler. “Our experience with our select-service hotel guests tells us they want a productive, comfortable and restful experience with a range of amenities that helps them work, relax and enjoy their stay with us,” he said.
