LOS ANGELES— SBE Hotel Group has purchased the 297-room Le Meridien Beverly Hills from Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts. Earlier reports had listed the acquirer as Lodging Capital Partners, LLC. The purchase follows SBE Hotel Groups acquisition of the Ritz Plaza in Miami in a joint venture with Makar Properties. Designer Philippe Starck has been commissioned to renovate the Miami hotel and is a candidate to redesign the Beverly Hills hotel as well.
