GALLUP, NM—The Hilton Garden Inn Gallup, owned and operated by Total Management Systems, has tapped Ron Samardzia as its general manager. The 105-suite hotel, located at 1530 West Maloney Avenue, is set to open in late October.
As general manager, Samardzia will be responsible for the day-to-day management of rooms, food and beverage, and meeting room operations.
Prior to joining the Hilton Garden Inn Gallup, Samardzia was director of sales & marketing for Hotel Cascada in Albuquerque, NM; director of sales & marketing for NYLO Plano in Texas; and director of sales & marketing for Xona Resort Suites in Scottsdale, AZ. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute with a degree in business.
The hotel is situated just minutes from downtown Gallup, Gallup Cultural Center, area casinos, biking/hiking trails and plenty of shopping.
Guestrooms will feature the brand’s signature Garden Sleep System bed, a 42-inch HD television, ergonomic desk chair and work desk. Amenities include a complimentary 24-hour business center; the brand’s Garden Grille and Bar restaurant; the Pavillion Pantry, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; a lounge area; a fitness center; and an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool. The hotel will also feature meeting space and an on-site guest laundry facility.
