SCOTTSDALE, AZ HOTEL BUSINESS. has learned that Rock Resorts, a division of Olympus Hospitality, will be continuing to grow next year. We re going to be adding another 3 to 4 properties to our portfolio in the next 12 months, said Carlos Lopes, evp for Olympus. While he would not name the specific properties, as they are all still in negotiation, he did say that they will be in California, Hawaii, South Beach and the Caribbean. These will all fall under the Rock Resorts banner, Lopes added. Rock Resorts will either own the resorts or manage them for third parties. He estimated that Rock Resorts would probably own two of the resorts, and manage the other two. (11/30/00) Jay Nussbaum
