CALGARY Canadian Pacific Hotels & Resorts reported that it is moving its best-known domestic luxury properties, like Ottawas Chateau Laurier and the Banff Springs Hotel in the Alberta Rockies, under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts banner, to streamline its worldwide marketing. CP Hotels purchased a 67% stake in Fairmont in 1999 and has been operating its luxury hotels in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean under the Fairmont name for the past year, while using the Canadian Pacific name at home. “By putting all of our hotels under one brand, we will be able to create a consistent sales message and grow the company internationally,” said CP Hotels CEO, William Fatt.
