SPOKANE, WA—RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) will open a 516-room Red Lion Hotel in Kissimmee, FL, located near the Walt Disney World Resort, after signing a franchise license agreement with the owners of a resort and spa there.
“Given the success RLHC has had with its Anaheim Red Lion Hotel, we believe our Orlando property will be the perfect East Coast counterpart for guests,” said Jeff Carter of Carter Hospitality Group, LLC., whose affiliate owns the property. “We are excited to rebrand to the Red Lion name in time to meet holiday demand.”
Expected to open in December, the Red Lion Hotel Orlando – Kissimmee Maingate is located at 7300 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. The hotel has 516 guestrooms, concierge services, a business center, multilingual staff, complimentary parking and WiFi, and Angel’s Rock n’ Roll Café-Bar. Set on 23 acres with lush landscaping, stunning fountains, mesmerizing water views and community fire pits, the property has become a popular meeting space for engagement parties, bridal showers, weddings and receptions, according to RLHC.
“This is another landmark signing for the Red Lion brand,” said Brian Quinn, RLHC SVP and chief franchise officer. “The addition of this prime property near Disney World accounts for well over 1,000 guestrooms on the East Coast.”
The future Red Lion Hotel Orlando – Kissimmee Maingate is near all Disney theme parks—Magic Kingdom Park, Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Blizzard Beach Water Park, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney Springs—as well as other area attractions.
