FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—The Regent brand is set to open seven new hotels as part of an expansion push set in motion since the integration of Regent Hotels and Resorts and Regent Seven Seas in March. The opening in late fall of The Regent South Beach, FL, will kick off the series of openings for the luxury hotel brand throughout the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East over the next two years. Regent’s existing portfolio encompasses six properties in the cities of Shanghai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Berlin and Zagreb. In Asia, The Regent Beijing will open in November, becoming the brand’s second hotel to open in China in less than a year. Developments in the U.S. will continue in 2007 with the opening of The Regent Bal Harbour, in Florida., and The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf Hotel and Residences. Future Regent developments in Asia, Europe and the Middle East include properties in Bangkok, Thailand; Beijing and Ningbo, China; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
