Red Lion Hotels Sells, Signs Franchise Agreements

SPOKANE, WA—Red Lion Hotels Corporation has sold its properties in Kennewick, WA, and Twin Falls, ID, to new owners who signed franchise agreements with property improvement plans.

The Red Lion Hotel Columbia Center in Kennewick was sold on May 28, 2014. The new franchise owner, per the agreement, will keep the name and improve the landscaping and parking lot of the exterior, as well as update the guestrooms. The property features 162 guestrooms and suites with 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, an outdoor pool, free WiFi and Louie’s Lounge.

The Red Lion Hotel Canyon Springs was sold on June 6, 2014. The property will stay under the Red Lion name and the new owner will immediately invest in the overall curbside appeal of the hotel in addition to upgrading the guestrooms. The property, with 112 guestrooms and an outdoor pool, offers nearly 5,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, Diamondfield’s Lounge and Moxie Java’s, a coffee and pastry bar.
