NEW ORLEANS— The Hyatt Regency New Orleans will re-open its doors in late 2007 following an extensive renovation exceeding $120 million. The 1,076-room hotel sustained heavy damage during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. All guestrooms will be completely renovated with new furnishings and amenities, Hyatt’s signature Grand Bed, and 32-inch LCD flat-screen televisions. Rooms will also have the new Hyatt stereo/alarm clock featuring an iPod docking station, seven time zone settings, automatic alarm reset, and T-Mobile wireless Internet access. The Hyatt Regency New Orleans will feature 115,000 square feet of meeting space and multiple food outlets.
