MINNEAPOLIS—Radisson Hotel Group has appointed Phil Hugh as chief development officer for the Americas.

In this role, he is responsible for the execution of the company’s growth goals for the Americas. Hugh and his team will work toward driving the expansion of all seven of Radisson Hotel Group’s brands.

“I am thrilled to welcome Phil to our team as we add a renewed passion and commitment to our development efforts,” said Jim Alderman, CEO, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group. “Signing exceptional hotels in key gateway markets is critical to our success as we execute our five-year plan. I have absolute confidence in Phil and our executive committee to quickly and effectively elevate our development team and our organization so we can come together to achieve our goals.”

Most recently, he spent seven years as a development leader at Red Roof Franchising, where he created a franchise division. His team built strong relationships that resulted in transforming the company to an asset-light and franchisee-focused organization. Prior to that, he held a variety of development leadership positions at Realogy Franchise Group, Development Opportunity Corporation and Cendant Corporation.
