SAN DIEGO— The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has appointed Robert Purdy to the position of resident manager. Purdy has been with Hyatt for more than 20 years and has held a variety of executive sales positions. Most recently he was executive director of sales for Hyatt Resorts nationally. In previous experience Purdy was director of sales at the Hyatt Regency San Diego, the forerunner to the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. His first job with Hyatt was as a corporate management trainee at the Hyatt Regency Fort Worth. The 1,625-room Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is the second largest Hyatt in the world and has San Diego’s two largest hotel ballrooms and its largest exhibit/multipurpose hall.
