Peterson To Head Catering At St. Regis, San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO— Barry Peterson has been named director of catering at the new St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco. The 40-story property will comprise a 260-room luxury hotel and 102 private residences and is scheduled to open November 2005. Prior to his appointment, Peterson was with San Franciscos Ritz-Carlton Hotel where he held the position of director of catering and conference services for nearly six years. In other experience he held management positions at major hotels in San Francisco, New Orleans and Santorini, Greece. In his new position, Peterson will direct the catering and conference operations for the 22,500 square feet of event and meeting space at the St. Regis.
