MILWAUKEE—Marcus Hotels & Resorts has appointed Paul Ohm the general manager of the 307-room Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.
Ohm, who has 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, previously served as GM of the 450-room Fairmont Newport Beach in southern California.
The new GM will oversee the general operations of the property, including the upcoming renovations of the 176 tower guestrooms, which will begin in Fall 2013.
Ohm began his hospitality career with the Hyatt Regency Columbus in food and beverage, and has served in various positions with Hyatt Hotels in Chicago, San Francisco and Maui.
He joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts as the director of food and beverage for the Kapalua Bay Hotel in Maui, HI, in 2000 before serving as the director of operations for The Fairmont Washington D.C. hotel in 2005. Additionally, Ohm was an opening team member for new hotels while serving at Fairmont, including the rebranding of the Hotel Heliopolis in Cairo, Egypt, to a Fairmont hotel.
