SEATTLE— When the Pan Pacific Seattle hotel opens here on Nov. 16, it will feature KoolConnect Technologies, Inc.’s Intrigue in-room entertainment system, which was recently installed at the 160-room property. The Intrigue in-room entertainment system, which will be run off of the hotel’s guestroom 32-inch LCD televisions, is a high-definition, video-on-demand technology that is customized for each installation. The system features TV-based text messaging, virtual concierge services, a “moods” feature offering soothing digital art and music, access to World Radio content and docking stations for iPods and other personal media devices. Developed at a cost of $200 million, the Pan Pacific Seattle will also feature 261 luxury condominiums, hand-held PDA devices for check-in, 15-inch HDTVs in guest bathrooms, Bose music systems, a library lounge, a fitness center and 5,406 square feet of function space.
