BOGOTA, COLOMBIA— Hilton Hotels Corp. plans to open a $27-million hotel here in Bogota, Colombias capital and largest city. The 245-room Hilton Bogota is scheduled to be completed in mid-2009 and will be Hiltons second hotel in Colombia. The hotel will be developed by shareholders in Sociedad Operadora 72 Gran Hotel, S.A. and will be owned by Fideicomiso de Administracion y Pagos 72 Gran Hotel, a Colombian trust entity. Hilton will operate the hotel under the terms of a multi-year management agreement as part of its expansion efforts in Latin America. The hotel will include a restaurant with direct street access, a lobby bar, a fitness center and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. It will be located in the city’s financial district and within walking distance of downtown, shopping malls, theaters, museums, embassies and the convention center.
