M&R Appoints Regional General Manager for Midwest Portfolio
M&R Hotel Management has appointed Christopher Beyer, a 29-year hospitality industry veteran, as regional general manager for its Midwest portfolio.
Prior to joining the Hilton Garden Inn, he served as GM for the Fairfield Inn and the former Baymont by Wyndham, both in Joplin, MO. Earlier in his career, he was night auditor, guest services representative and general manager in training at the Super 8 by Wyndham, also in Joplin.
Carillon Miami Wellness Resort Hires Director to Intro Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Division
Carillon Miami Wellness Resort has appointed Dr. James Stern as medical director.
He has been in continuous practice in South Florida since finishing his fellowship in 1995. Active and involved in his specialty, he currently heads the Department of Plastic Surgery at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, CA. He is past president of the Broward Country Society of Plastic Surgery; a longstanding member of the Southeastern and American Societies of Plastic Surgery; and has been a member of the clinical faculty of the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
G4 Strategies Expands Hospitality Consulting Platform
Officials of G4 Strategies, a public affairs and business solutions firm that provides services to a diversified group of industries, including hospitality, has launched a new risk management and insurance company with the addition of David DeMoss as principal of G4 Risk Solutions.
Prior to joining G4, DeMoss was founder and owner of Wakeup Call, proprietary risk management software created specifically for the hospitality industry. Previously, he served as VP at Petra Risk Solutions where he worked with and advised hoteliers on their insurance programs to ensure compliance, cost effectiveness and comprehensive solutions. His experience creating and refining risk management programs, assisting hoteliers through all phases of the claim process, coordinating with legal counsel and managing various teams helped create and perfect Wakeup Call. DeMoss also sits on multiple advisory boards for various start-ups, including HOTELbeat Inc., Yvuvy LLC, and Sanverbos Inc.
