CLEVELAND— First View Security, based here, has debuted its new Digital Door Viewer for the high end of the hospitality market. The Digital Door Viewer, which has been positioned by the company as an alternative to peepholes, is a video monitor mounted on the inside of the guest suite door that uses a digital camera to provide a clear view. By pressing a button, guests will receive a live video color image on an LCD monitor of the entire area outside of the guestroom door. The system is totally integrated and self-contained and requires no connection to external power wiring or external monitor displays. The unit can be used in new construction properties or retrofitted to accommodate existing guestroom doors.
